Shadi Edarehchi Gilani (MLA 3), together with Kambiz Hashemnejad, received an honourable mention in ResilientCity, an ideas competition to raise awareness in the Planning and Architecture communities of resiliency as a central strategy for dealing with the future impacts of on our cities Peak Oil and Climate Change.

Her project, titled Eco-Techture, was awarded the honourable mention in the Urban Design category.

The design competition resulted in more than 50 registrations and 22 formal entries received from around the globe, including proposals centered on cities in India, Mexico, Israel, Tibet, Germany, as well as the USA and Canada.

The panels were also exhibited at the IDEX / Green Building Festival Exposition in Toronto.
