Danielle Whitley

Danielle is a registered architect based in Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto. She was the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards including the University Gold Medal for highest academic standing from the UofM and the RAIC honour roll.

Danielle has studied abroad and worked for award winning firms in Winnipeg, Toronto and New York. She is also the co-founder of KRDW, a design collective that explores both built projects as well as speculative research. Recent work includes the ‘Facet-it’ installation at the IIDEX Woodshop 2015, ‘Urban Swath’ at CUTMR 2014, and ‘Spatial Constructs’ at the Bulthaup Showroom for Nuit Blanche 2013.

Her design interests are centred on ideas of identity, place-making, temporality and territory.
