David Verbeek

David Verbeek is a Canadian designer and researcher, and winner of the Canada Council for the Arts Prix de Rome in Architecture for Emerging Practitioners.
In addition to his work with OMA in Rotterdam — as well as OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen and Xaveer de Geyter Architects in Brussels — his writing, research and design projects have been exhibited and published internationally.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, David received his Master of Architecture from the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design, where he was awarded the RAIC Gold Medal, the AIA Henry Adams Medal, and the OAA Architectural Guild Medal.
David previously completed a degree in urban design and environmental studies at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Architecture and Planning and was awarded the Faculty Thesis Prize, University Medal in Community Design, and the CIP Award of Excellence and Fellows’ Travel Scholarship.
