Same-day/next-day Counselling Sessions

The Daniels Faculty, in partnership with the U of T Health and Wellness Centre, offers free, confidential counselling services to students enrolled in our undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Many students find it helpful to meet with a counsellor to learn how to manage stress around schedules or exams, relationships, or any unexpected challenge. The Daniels Faculty is in the process of identifying a dedicated on-location counsellor for students.

To book a same-day or next-day appointment, contact the Health and Wellness Centre at 416-978-8030 (select option “5”). Follow-up appointments are booked directly with the counsellor or through Health & Wellness.

U of T My Student Support Program

Students can access U of T My Student Support Program (U of T My SSP) 24/7 by calling 1-844-451-9700. Outside of North America, call 001-416-380-6578. (See instructions for accessing My SSP outside of Canada or the U.S. under Service Delivery.) U of T My SSP provides free real-time and/or appointment-based confidential, 24-hour support for any school, health, or general life concern.

Students can call or chat with a counsellor directly from your phone whenever and wherever you are. Ongoing support is available over the phone in 146 languages. Immediate support is available over the phone in 35 languages and over chat in simplified Chinese, English, French and Spanish.

Navi: Your mental health wayfinder

Navi, short for navigator, is an anonymous chat-based virtual assistant for all students wanting to learn more about the mental health supports available to them. From stress and anxiety to feelings of discrimination or loneliness and everything in between, Navi is able to help by quickly searching for and providing you with contact information and direct links to U of T and community resources. At the Daniels Faculty, we are in the process of adding the Navi chat to our website to provide quick access to this resource. Visit uoft.me/navi to chat now.
