This studio based course provides students with the opportunity to experiment with a diverse range of materials and practices while exploring theoretical issues in contemporary drawing.  Students are exposed to concepts and practices through assignments, lectures, field trips, and readings.  Integral to this course are on-on-one and group discussions as well as scheduled critiques.

The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of drawing processes and their applications, strengthen approaches to drawing as a tool towards research and project work, and roster a willingness to engage in constructive criticism and discussion within a peer group.
