Graduate Sessional Dates
All graduate students at the University of Toronto are governed by the School of Graduate Studies and should therefore refer to the School of Graduate Studies Sessional Dates for important dates pertaining to registration and tuition fee payment deadlines, course add/drop deadlines, graduation, and other general graduate program policies.
Please note that course add/drop dates are not the same as the fee refund schedule. Deadlines for fee payment, fee refund schedules and other financial dates are posted on the Student Accounts website.
In addition to the SGS dates, the tables below summarize dates specific to Daniels courses and programs.
2026 Fall Session

| July 16 | Non-enrolment day (you cannot add or drop courses via ACORN on this day) |
| July 17 | Enrolment starts for final-year master's students (MARC3, MLA3, MUD2, MVS2, all MFC cohorts) |
| July 22 | Non-enrolment day (you cannot add or drop courses via ACORN on this day) |
| July 23 | Enrolment starts for students in their second-last year (MARC2, MLA2, MUD1, MVS1 cohorts) |
| July 27 | Non-enrolment day (you cannot add or drop courses via ACORN on this day) |
| July 28 | Enrolment opens to all remaining Daniels grad students |
| July 31 | Non-Daniels students may request to join Daniels courses by submitting an SGS add/drop course form starting on this day |

| August 6-19 | Daniels Workshop for New Graduate Students (free, in-person two-week course for new MARC, MLA, and MUD students) |
| Aug 20-Sept 2 (Make-up days: Sept 3 & 4) |
August Intensives (ARC1021HF, ARC2042HF, URD1021HF, ALA4010H, ALA4020H) Note: Sept 2 is the last day to cancel an August Intensive without academic penalty |
