Dear Daniels Architectural Studies Undergraduate students,

One of your graduation requirements is that you need to complete an appropriate combination of programs of study.

The Daniels Program of Study Enrollment GUIDE is available online. Additional information about specific program requirements and description can be found in the Undergraduate Academic Calendar.

The Daniels Faculty currently offers the following programs of study:

Architectural Studies

After your second year of study in the Specialist in Architectural Studies: Comprehensive Stream (AHSPE1000), with the completion of the required 8.0 Credits/ FCE, you may choose to apply for one of the other specialist streams or remain in the Comprehensive Stream.

In addition to submitting a request on ACORN, a supplementary application is also required for the following streams:

• AHSPE1001 Specialist in Architectural Studies: Design of Architecture, Landscape, and Urbanism Stream
• AHSPE1002 Specialist in Architectural Studies: History and Theory of Architecture, Landscape, and Urbanism Stream
• AHSPE1003 Specialist in Architectural Studies: Technology of Architecture, Landscape, and Urbanism Stream

Visual Studies

Students may choose one of the Visual studies programs below upon the completion of 4.0 credits/FCE as an additional option to their Architectural Studies program.

Options are:

• AHSPE2001 Specialist in Visual Studies: Studio Stream
• AHSPE2002 Specialist in Visual Studies: Critical Practices Stream
• AHMAJ1000 Major in Architectural Studies
• AHMIN0660 Minor in Visual Studies

Steps to Enrolling in Daniels Programs of Study

• Step 1: Submit a request on ACORN - May 7th, 2021
• Step 2: Check results of your requests on ACORN - June 18th, 2021
• Step 3: Accept invitation to program - July 6th, 2021, or before course enrolment

Arts & Science Programs of Study

As soon as you complete 4.0 Credits/ FCE, you are eligible to enrol/request a program of study offered through the Faculty of Arts & Science. You are able to combine your required Daniels Subject Program with many programs of study offered through the Faculty of Arts & Science. Information about Faculty of Arts & Science programs of study, deadlines dates, and enrolment information can be found on the Faculty of Arts and Science Academics & Registration webpage.

Changing Programs of Study

• Daniels students who want to change between the Honours Bachelor of Arts, Architectural Studies and the Honours Bachelor of Arts, Visual Studies degree programs are required to apply for an Internal Undergraduate Degree Transfer. The deadline for submitting this form is April 30th, 2021.
• Students interested in transferring from AHMAJ2020 &/or AHMAJ2390, into the Comprehensive Studies stream (AHSPE1000), can apply for an Internal Undergraduate Curriculum Transfer. The deadline for submitting this form is April 30th, 2021.
